The Faces Behind our Success
Charles Powell
Chief Creative Officer
Charles is a man of many parts. On the one hand, he is an award-winning writer, producer and director, but that’s his professional life. In his personal life he volunteers his time to fight against many of society’s problems. Charles has been with Jagged Rock Media since 2002 and built the agency from launch to an international concern. He is a graduate of Trevecca University with studies in creative writing and film and as a behavioral scientist. Charles has written, produced and directed content for a number of television and cable networks and recently added screenwriter to his list of accomplishments.
Kayla Thomason
Project Coordinator
Kayla dots all the i's and crosses all the t's. From the big picture to the smallest detail, she keeps Jagged Rock Media's various projects on track. Utilizing her Communication degree from Emmanuel College, graphic design creative skills, and background as Director of Communication for a mega church; she enjoys solving puzzles to create successful solutions. Whether it's between the JRM team and clients, or at her local church as a youth leader, she loves bringing people together and building relationships.
Bryan Redding
Director of Photography
Hailing from the Classic City (Athens, Georgia), Bryan is an award-winning director and cinematographer. Since graduating from James Madison University with a degree in media arts & design, Bryan has invested the past fifteen years chasing his two greatest passions: film and photography. In addition to his work in independent and feature films and music videos, he is also respected for his cinematography and direction on a number of national TV commercials produced for major Fortune 500 companies all over the United States. His work has made him a world traveler from London and Paris to Ireland, Budapest and beyond.
Billy Neal
Motion Graphics Artist & Animator
Billy is a native Georgian who’s lived here all his life. He graduated from Berry College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. By mid-2003 Billy accepted a position with what would eventually become Jagged Rock Media. He immediately put his talents to work and never looked back. Today he is an award-winning motion graphics artist and designer, whose attention to detail and getting the job done right is known throughout the organization and to clients around the world. Billy is also known for his work as a motion graphics artist and for his 2D and 3D animation work.
James Preston
Documentarian/Cinematographer
Born in Texas and raised throughout the South, James is an experienced documentarian, cinematographer, and editor. His passion for storytelling has led him to projects from coast to coast, honing his craft on the road and in the edit. From firefighters in the mountains of northern California to victims of violence in his hometown of Athens, James is dedicated to capturing people as they are and shining a light on their humanity. At JRM James is particularly adept at tell the story of your product, service, and company.
Tracy Royston
Outdoor Producer
When your project includes the great
outdoors or a home improvement
segment, Tracy Royston is your
producer of choice. He’s an avid
outdoorsman and talented welder,
and his carpentry skills always
come in handy when it’s time
to build a set. His unparalleled
attention to detail is a service to
any production he is on. From Idaho
to Las Vegas and from Montana
down through the Midwest, Tracy
is well traveled and experienced
in all weather conditions – rain,
snow, and even a tornado or two. In
the studio Tracy wears the lighting
director hat and oversees continuity
on indoor productions.
Jody Pyles
Sales & Marketing
Jody Pyles is a respected subject matter expert in most things involving firearms and shooting, but he’s so much more. He’s an expert martial artist with US and World titles under his belt. Jody has appeared in feature films, network television content, movie trailers as both an actor and stuntman. As a model he has been seen in national and international ad campaigns for brands like ZEISS and Nightforce. At JRM he is a valued member of our field production team and welcome around campfires on both sides of the Rocky Mountains
Clark Gaines
Producer/Cinematographer
Clark is a Georgian through and through. He cut his teeth on photography & videography when he worked as a student video manager for the University of Georgia football program from 2015 through 2019. Upon earning his degree in 2019, he established his own production company and now specializes in a variety of video content, including social media content. Clark loves putting his years of experience to work capturing people’s stories from all walks of life.
Landon Rowell Producer/ Studio Operator
Landon is a man of few words, but what he lacks in verbiage he makes up for in loyalty and attention to
detail. He discovered his passion for video and film at Emmanuel University whilst studying Business
Administration alongside earning a minor in Graphic Design. Landon is a storyteller at heart who loves
writing, directing, and editing, be it for work, personal projects or his church. Since joining JRM, he’s
gotten his fingers into every part of production from grip, design, producing, and even set building.
Regardless of where he finds himself in the production process, excellence is always his priority.
Jackie Brashear
Social Media & Digital Coordinator
If you were to describe Jackie in one word… it would be Social. A born and raised Georgia girl, Jackie thrives on making connections with new people and utilizing those connections to help her team and community grow. Jackie graduated from Georgia Southern University, where she majored in Business Marketing and minored in Writing. She credits her “social butterfly” attributes to her amazing family who pushed her to join every team sport and attend every social event. Jackie's social media skills have been refined by managing multiple companies’ social media platforms, authors media campaigns, and staying on top of the latest and greatest in the media world.
Savannah Gaines
Video Editor & Director
With hundreds of hours in broadcast and short film productions, Savannah captures the essence of every story she tells. She graduated with a degree in Entertainment and Media Studies at The University of Georgia where she became Avid Media Composer Certified. While at UGA, she worked for SEC Network and ESPN as a Technical Director and Camera Operator. Savannah puts her best foot forward in creating videos that bring stories to life. She credits her family for pushing her to achieve her wildest dreams and for her love of filmmaking. At JRM, Savannah is ready to bring your stories to life and “broadcast” a new perspective!
